Tasks and Responsibilities
- Perform statistical analyses (e.g. regression, clustering,
forecasting, hypothesis testing) using tools such as Power BI, Python, or
R with openness to large-language methods
- Translate analytical objectives into clear data
requirements and collaborate with data engineers to access suitable
datasets
- Develop analytical frameworks, KPIs, and indicators to evaluate
organizational and program performance
- Interpret and clearly communicate findings through reports,
dashboards, and executive summaries
- Ensure data quality, validation, and consistency in all analytical
outputs
- Advise on analytical use cases and data structures within the Global
Data Hub
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to design advanced Power BI
reports, including predictive and statistical elements
- Collect, analyze, and document system and data requirements of
English/French speaking Member Associations
- Support and mentor colleagues in data literacy and interpretation of
analytical results
- Ensure compliance with data protection, security, and ethical data
usage standards
- Provide support and consulting to French- and English-speaking
Member Associations to enable them to succeed in their data project and
allow them get the most out of Global Data Hub

As
someone working for or on behalf of SOS Children’s Villages, you are
responsible for helping to create and maintain a safe and
protective environment for staff, as well as for the children, young people,
and adult programme participants supported and cared for by SOS
Children’s Villages. You are expected to:

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a
related field
- 5–7+ years of experience in applied statistics or business
analysis
- Ability to analyze and understand business data requirements and
translate them to technical requirements
- Strong expertise in analytical tools and methods (Power
BI, Python, R, Excel)
- Proven experience in statistical modeling, forecasting, and
segmentation
- Excellent data visualization and storytelling skills
- Strong understanding of data quality, metadata, and governance
concepts
- Fluent English and French (C1/C2)
- Ability to explain complex analytical concepts to both technical and
non-technical audiences
- Ideally experience in non-profit contexts, including impact
measurement, donor reporting
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in analytical tools and methods (Power
BI, Python, R, Excel)
- Proven experience in statistical modeling, forecasting, and
segmentation
