We are hiring on behalf of our client in the cereals distribution and FMCG sector for a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced Accountant to lead finance operations and support business decision-making through accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational financial management.
The ideal candidate must have strong FMCG accounting experience and proven practical expertise in using Odoo ERP for accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and operational finance management.
The
successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy,
maintaining internal controls, managing statutory compliance, and supporting
profitability analysis within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting
& Financial Management
- Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and financial
documentation
- Ensure proper classification of income, expenses, assets, and
liabilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations using Odoo ERP
- Maintain supporting schedules for all balance sheet accounts
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and
financial procedures
Odoo
ERP Financial Operations
Utilize
Odoo Accounting System for:
- Financial reporting
- Reconciliations
- Inventory accounting
- Accounts payable & receivable management
- General ledger management
- Expense tracking
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Ensure proper utilization and integrity of accounting data within
Odoo ERP
- Support process improvements and accounting system efficiency
Month-End
& Financial Closing
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries
- Perform accruals, provisions, and prepayment adjustments
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing
processes
- Prepare and review trial balances and financial statements
Reconciliations
& Financial Accuracy
Conduct
reconciliations for:
- Bank accounts
- Payables & receivables
- Payroll accounts
- Inventory accounts
- Fixed assets
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Analyze GL accounts and identify unusual transactions or financial
inconsistencies
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records
Cost
Control & Inventory Management
- Monitor product cost margins and profitability performance
- Conduct budget variance analysis and cost monitoring
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Support inventory accounting and stock reconciliation
processes
Tax
& Regulatory Compliance
- Assist in VAT returns preparation and tax computations
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory
requirements
- Maintain accurate financial records for compliance purposes
Audit
& Financial Reporting
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Respond to audit queries and implement recommendations
- Provide management with financial insights and operational
reports
Minimum Requirements

Requirement
- Strong practical proficiency in Odoo Accounting System is
required
Additional
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA (K) or CPA Finalist is highly preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an FMCG company (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting
standards
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting
systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
