Account Manager, Inside Sales, Job in Kenya - Novonesis

Main tasks and responsibilities

Lead Management & Digital Selling

  • Qualify, nurture, and convert inbound digital leads into sales using modern tools (Salesforce, Chatbots, Marketplace).
  • Leverage industry events, exhibitions and market research activities to generate/ strengthen leads pipeline.
  • Manage leads through the full sales pipeline with strong CRM discipline and forecasting accuracy. 

Account Management & Revenue Growth

  • Own sales and profitability for assigned industry accounts across MEIA (Middle East, India and Africa) region.

  • Promote Novonesis biosolutions (enzymes, microbes and related offerings) by translating technical benefits into clear value propositions (feed efficiency, animal performance, silage quality, ROI etc).
  • Providing inputs for demand planning, inventory management and financial planning.

Customer Engagement & Segmentation

  • Deploy and refine customer segmentation models to improve targeting & engagement quality.
  • Capture customer feedback and translate insights into commercial actions and improved engagement models. 

Collaboration & Cross Functional Alignment

  • Work closely with Marketing, Technical Service, Regional Inside Sales, Strategy Deployment, and Commercial transformation teams to co create and execute Inside Sales plays and digital campaigns.
  • Support trial setup, interpretation, and conversion into repeatable commercial wins.

Digital capability strengthening

  • Adopting digital tools and services (Salesforce, Chatbots, Marketplace etc.) for remote sales and service differentiation
  • Leveraging AI for efficiency enhancement and generating actionable insights

Experience & education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology, preferably Animal Nutrition, Veterinary or related degrees. MBA is a plus
  • 5+ years of successful sales or business development experience in animal health/ nutrition, with science background, preferably biosolutions
  • Basic understanding of biosolutions and animal nutrition

  • Skilled at lead nurturing, value propositioning, objection handling and opportunity conversion
  • Strong persuasion skills and customer engagement skills
  • Metrics-driven approach and data orientation
  • Ability to deliver value through remote or digital-first engagement
  • Keenness to adopt AI tools for efficiency enhancement
  • Proactive, curious, disciplined, collaborative and energized by building something new in a fast evolving inside sales engine
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Data Insights and GenAI tools
  • Hunter mindset to persuade new leads and to drive penetration into white space areas
  • Proficiency in English
  • Proficiency in French will be an added advantage
