Our
client is a leading supplier of office equipments, safes and security solutions
in Kenya. With decades of experience, the company is recognized for providing
high-quality products, professional after-sales service, and reliable customer
support.
They
are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage the full range of financial
and statutory reporting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be
proficient with QuickBooks and experienced in preparing and filing statutory
returns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain daily accounting activities, including accounts payable,
receivable, and general ledger management
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and reports
- Handle statutory filings such as VAT, PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, and other
compliance submissions
- Reconcile bank statements, manage cash flow, and ensure financial
accuracy
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process
- Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary supporting
documentation
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and
internal accounting policies
- Perform additional accounting tasks as required
Required Qualifications
and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA (K) certification or equivalent professional qualification
preferred
- Proven experience as an Accountant in a busy, regulated environment
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential
- Strong knowledge of statutory return filing requirements and tax
regulations
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to
accuracy
- Integrity, confidentiality, and organizational competence
