Accountant, Hardware, Job in Kenya (35-45K)

Duties and Responsibilities

Ledger & Reconciliation Management:

  • Maintain general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and timely.
  • Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate recording.

Software & System Management:

  • Operate accounting software efficiently (QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, or equivalent).
  • Support integration of new financial systems or tools as needed.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:


  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.

Payroll & Statutory Compliance:

  • Process payroll and ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions (NSSF, SHIF, PAYE).
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and labor laws.

Audit & Internal Controls:

  • Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Support internal control initiatives to safeguard company assets.
  • Implement accounting policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards.

Key Requirement Skills And Qualification

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA Level 4 or equivalent professional certification.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in the construction hardware or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
