Duties and Responsibilities
Ledger
& Reconciliation Management:
- Maintain general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and
timely.
- Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate
recording.
Software
& System Management:
- Operate accounting software efficiently (QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, or
equivalent).
- Support integration of new financial systems or tools as needed.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial
statements.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.
Payroll
& Statutory Compliance:
- Process payroll and ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions
(NSSF, SHIF, PAYE).
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and labor laws.
Audit
& Internal Controls:
- Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external
audits.
- Support internal control initiatives to safeguard company assets.
- Implement accounting policies and procedures in line with regulatory
standards.
Key Requirement Skills
And Qualification
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA Level 4 or equivalent professional certification.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in
the construction hardware or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and
statutory compliance.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
