Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring
of QI projects related to infection prevention and control (IPC), hand
hygiene, blood culture contamination, and infectious disease documentation
- Coach clinical, IPC, AMS, and laboratory teams
on quality improvement methods and support
intervention planning, implementation, and outcome measurement - Facilitate collaborative learning sessions,
workshops, and continuous improvement activities
- Document and report on quality improvement
progress, lessons learned, and recommendations
- Collect and analyze data on antimicrobial use
and resistance patterns
- Support the development and revision of hospital
antibiograms and local treatment guidelines
- Provide feedback and promote rational antibiotic
use through clinical engagement and education
- Collect clinical and laboratory data from
patient records using standard
Qualifications and skills
- Degree or Diploma in a health-related field
(e.g. Nursing, medicine, clinical medicine, pharmacy, etc)
- Experience with Quality improvement, Infection
prevention and control, Antimicrobial resistance or healthcare
surveillance preferred
- Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and
electronic data entry systems (e.g. Red Cap)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic
statistical tools
- Strong communication, teamwork, training and
organizational abilities
