Ensure timely, accurate and complete reconciliation of all Verona Huruma Sacco collection and bank accounts. Strengthen financial governance by reducing risk and ensuring compliance. Support the Finance Manager in maintaining the integrity of financial records and ensuring all funds received by the Sacco are fully accounted for.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of all SACCO
funds across bank accounts and M-Pesa.
- Ensure all receipts are accurately reflected in the core banking
system and general ledger.
- Identify, investigate and resolve reconciliation variances; escalate
unresolved issues to the Finance Manager.
- Prepare reconciliation reports and schedules for management review.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all reconciled
accounts.
- Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
- Ensure assets and liabilities are recorded correctly and
safeguarded.
- Collaborate with Tellers, Customer Service and ICT to resolve
posting and collection issues.
- Respond to finance-related enquiries made through the phone.
- Perform any other duties assigned to support Finance operations.
Qualifications and
Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (Part I or II) is an added advantage.
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience in finance, accounting or
reconciliation role, preferably in a Sacco or regulated institution.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
(especially Excel).
- High attention to detail, integrity and strong organizational
skills.
