Responsibilities
The
regular driver shall perform the following duties when engaged:
- Provide safe, timely, and professional transportation services for
SNV staff, visitors, and consultants.
- Drive to project sites and field locations, often under different
conditions and terrains, while ensuring the safety of all passengers.
- Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and
well-maintained at all times.
- Conduct routine checks and report any mechanical issues or damage
promptly.
- Verify and maintain the validity of the vehicle’s insurance,
inspection certificates, and other statutory documents.
- Carry out basic mechanical repairs, refuelling, and other routine
servicing tasks as required.
- Accurately maintain the vehicle logbook/work ticket, recording daily
mileage, fuel usage, and service history.
- Adhere to SNV policies and procedures as well as code of conduct.
- Undertake office errands, such as deliveries and pick-ups, when
requested.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or violations involving the vehicle
immediately to the relevant SNV staff.
- Perform any other driving or logistical duties as may be reasonably
assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications
Basic
Requirements
- KCSE level of education, with a good command of English and Swahili
- Clean driving licence with over 5 years driving experience
- Basic computer skills
- Basic mechanical skills
- Defensive driving an added advantage
