Duties and Responsibilities
Underwriter
Management
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of premium payable and premium
receivable accounts, as well as regular meetings with underwriters to
ensure correct premium payment allocation.
- Oversee daily premium collections in the system and collaborate to
guarantee accurate premium payment processing.
Reconciliations
- Reconciliation of Investments and preparation of investment reports
monthly.
- Reconciliation of insurance balances between Minet Kenya and
assigned underwriter.
- Monthly reconciliation and analysis of assigned General Ledger
account.
- Reconciliation of intercompany accounts and signed off for payment
recoveries.
Reporting
- Preparation of management accounts, board reports, and consolidated
financial statements on a group level in an accurate, comprehensive, and
timely manner.
- Preparation of weekly cash projections or cash flow forecasts, as
well as a cash position report for the group to assist in planning.

Professional
and Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business related course.
- CPA’s, ACCA or CFA’s part 1.
