Programme Research Administrator Job in Kenya - KCCWG

About the Role

Are you passionate about research? Are you interested in supporting the efficient delivery of an impactful multi-country research project?

The Kenya Climate Change Working Group (https://kccwg.org/) is a partner in an innovative UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship project, Gender-Inclusive Climate Change Governance (GenCGov), hosted at the University of Bradford, that advances gender-inclusive climate change governance in case-study countries.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join the project as a Programme Research Administrator. This 30-month, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to join a multi-country research team, providing research and administrative support to develop impactful policy instruments and capacity-building resources that strengthen climate justice at the national and regional levels.


The role might interest a PhD researcher or someone with a postgraduate qualification seeking further experience in research administration and excellence within a multi-country project.

Key Responsibilities

The post holder will;

  • Ensure effective liaison with a wide range of stakeholders, and across the research team.
  • Lead the effective and efficient administrative management of the research programme, including managing reporting processes, devising and implementing data management and administrative systems, managing the production of materials for research participants and research materials, updating the research project website, managing the production of research project events and reports or other publications, and scheduling and administering stakeholder meetings.
  • Provide an efficient, comprehensive and professional research and administrative support service to the research project in support of the work of the Principal Investigator, the Programme Manager, advisory board, and the core research team.
