Financial Accountant & Data Analyst Job in Kenya (100-120K)

Our client is a leading appointed importer and distributor of various world leading alcohol brands. They are looking to hire a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Accountant & Data Analyst to manage core accounting functions while transforming financial and operational data into actionable insights. They will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while providing high quality data analysis to support business planning, performance management, and strategic decision making.

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, and performance reports
  • Support management with data-driven insights for strategic and operational decisions
  • Automate reporting processes and improve data accuracy and efficiency
  • Integrate data from multiple systems (accounting, ERP, etc.)
  • Monitor KPIs and present findings in clear, actionable formats

Financial Accounting


  • Maintain accurate accounting records in line with applicable accounting standards
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
  • Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations
  • Manage accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset registers
  • Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and statutory reporting requirements
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper classification of accounts
  • Record transactions such as sales, purchases, expenses, and payroll

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance and data analysis roles
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
  • Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query preferred)
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or similar is a plus)
  • Ability to work with large data sets and ensure data integrity

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate complex financial and data insights clearly
