Duties & Responsibilities

Duties

  • Assist in the implementation of administrative functions of the division, department, school, Unit or section.
  • Taking minutes in various committees.
  • Supervision of staff under them.
  • Advice the head of department on all matters relating to the department.
  • Assist in the setting and implementation of the departmental PC targets.
  • Assist in the adherence to the Quality Management Standards (QMS) for the implementation of the performance management system of the department.
  • Support planning and budgeting in the division, department, school, Unit or section.
  • Any other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Competencies


For appointment to this grade, one MUST have:

Must Have

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized University.
  • Be proficient in computer applications packages.
  • Have one (1) year of relevant administrative experience.
  • Certified Secretaries (CS) Level I will be an added advantage.
  • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the 2010 Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and Integrity upon successful appointment.
