Responsibilities
- Managing the Fund’s portfolio of
securities to ensure profitability and compliance with the Fund’s risk
management policy;
- Monitoring the external Fund Managers in
the implementation and compliance with the Fund’s Investment Policy;
- Coordinating the presentation by the Fund
Managers Management;
- Review goals and strategies with Fund
Managers, Investment Advisors and Custodians;
- Performing or evaluating research, such
as detailed company or industry analyses, to inform financial forecasting,
and decision-making on investment opportunities;
- Undertaking actuarial valuations;
- Adhering to statutory and regulatory
requirements; and
- Undertaking Portfolio construction; Asset
allocation, identification and analysis of new opportunities.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science,
Accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields from a recognized
institution;
- Master’s Degree in Actuarial Science,
Accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields from a recognized
institution;
Knowledge Requirements
- Served for a cumulative service period of
fifteen (15) years, three (3) of which must be at the grade of Assistant
Manager, Investment Officer, PSSF 4 or in comparable position
- Leadership Course lasting not less than
four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
- Must be CIFA or CFA finalist or
equivalent
- Membership to CIFA, CFA or equivalent
professional body in good standing;
- Practicing license where applicable
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Fulfilled requirements of Chapter 6 of
the Constitution
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in
work performance and results
Experience Qualifications
- Served for a cumulative service period of
fifteen (15) years, three (3) of which must be at the grade of Assistant
Manager, Investment Officer, PSSF 4 or in comparable position;
Professional membership
- Membership to CIFA, CFA or equivalent
professional body in good standing
