Store Manager Job in Kenya - Kikwetu Flowers

Kikwetu Flowers Limited, a leading player in the floriculture industry, is seeking to recruit a highly competent, results-driven, and experienced Store Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate stock records for all items.
  • Follow receiving procedures, checking quantities, quality, and documentation (delivery notes, LPOs, GRNs).
  • Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) systems.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock reconciliations and report any variances promptly.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder points to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Maintain updated bin cards, stock sheets, and ERP/system records at all times.

Store Operations & Organization


  • Ensure stores are clean, organized, and clearly labeled for easy access and tracking.
  • Enforce safe storage practices for chemicals, fertilizers, and flammable items in compliance with HSE standards.
  • Supervise loading, offloading, and proper stacking of goods to prevent damage or contamination.
  • Maintain secure access control and safeguard all stock against loss, theft, or misuse.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
  • Maintain proper filing of all inventory records—delivery notes, requisitions, issue vouchers, stock adjustments, etc.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring complete and up-to-date documentation.

Coordination & Support

  • Liaise with procurement, accounts, and user departments (e.g., Production, Packhouse, Maintenance) to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Participate in stock-taking exercises and variance analysis with the Finance/Accounts team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Stores Management, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory and stores management (preferably in floriculture).
  • Strong computer literacy — MS Excel, ERP systems, or inventory management software.
  • Sound knowledge of inventory control procedures and auditing principles.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
