About the Role
We’re
looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Finance Intern to support the financial and operational management
of donor-funded projects. You’ll work closely with project teams to ensure
smooth budgeting, accounting, compliance, and reporting. This role is ideal for
someone passionate about finance, project coordination, and development work.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
in QuickBooks.
- Support preparation of project budgets,
forecasts, and expenditure reports.
- Track expenditures against approved budgets and
ensure donor compliance.
- Assist in preparing financial proposals, reports
and documentation for audits and donor submissions.
- Track project expenditures and ensure donor and
budget compliance.
- Handle statutory filings (PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, VAT,
Withholding Tax).
- Support project teams in financial monitoring
and activity tracking using CRMs and tools.
- Assist in audits, documentation, and project
close-out processes.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting,
Business, or Project Management.
- 1–2 years’ experience in project finance or
donor-funded programs.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Excel.
- Understanding of tax and statutory compliance
requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and
teamwork.
