Role Purpose
Manage end-to-end procurement and supply chain
operations for agricultural inputs and downstream logistics. Ensure timely
availability, cost efficiency, quality assurance, supplier performance, and
compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for agricultural
inputs (fertilizers, seeds, crop protection, mechanization services,
inventory management and logistics).
- Implement category management, supplier segmentation, and
sourcing plans aligned with business goals.
- Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP processes, supplier pre-qualification, and
market analysis.
- Conduct competitive procurement, negotiation, and contract
management to achieve optimal commercial and service outcomes.
- Oversee QA/QC processes to ensure product and service
compliance with specifications and standards.
- Manage supplier performance, KPIs, and continuous improvement
initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to legal, ethical, corporate and regulatory
procurement standards.
- Implement and manage digital procurement tools and analytics
platforms for spend visibility and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, finance,
agronomy, legal, compliance) to ensure alignment with corporate
objectives.
- Optimize inventory levels, logistics operations, and
downstream distribution to customers and partners.
- Lead risk assessment, mitigation and prevention across the
supply chain.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Agriculture,
Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5–7 years of procurement and supply chain experience,
including 3+ years in the agricultural sector or agribusiness.
- Proven experience in international or multinational companies.
- Strong knowledge of category management, sourcing strategy,
contract and performance management.
- Hands-on experience with ERP and e-procurement platforms
(e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle).
- Proficiency in procurement analytics and data-driven
decision-making.
- Familiarity with QA/QC and regulatory compliance in
agricultural supply chains.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder
management skills.
