Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carrying out **audit checks** and identifying any accounting errors.
  • Collecting data on periodical financial returns, estimates and expenditure.
  • Examining vouchers, cashbooks, ledger confirming the property and **accuracy of the transactions**.
  • Auditing of systems and processes.
  • Auditing **annual accounts** and conducting financial audit.
  • Identifying any accounting errors, **cases of fraud** and initiating investigations.
  • Carrying out audit **inspections of Council’s records**.

Person Specifications

Mandatory requirements:


  • Have Served in the grade of Auditor II for a minimum period of three (3) years.
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in any the following disciplines: Commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Finance, Business Administration (Accounting/Finance option) or equivalent degree.
  • Have a Certified Public Accountants (CPA) part II or Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) part II or equivalent qualification.
  • Be Proficient in Computer applications.
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
