Position Summary
- The Finance Manager will lead financial
planning, compliance, and reporting to ensure the sustainability of St.
John Kenya’s mission-driven programs. This role requires a strategic
thinker with strong technical and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement
long-term financial strategies.
- Lead budgeting and
expenditure monitoring across departments.
- Prepare timely financial
reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage credit control,
receivables, and client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with
tax, audit, and financial reporting standards.
- Strengthen internal
controls and coordinate audits.
- Champion financial
systems integration and data security.
- Mentor finance staff and
promote a culture of accountability.
- Support donor compliance
and proposal development.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in
Finance, Commerce, Public Administration, or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting/Finance.
- CPA-K / CIFA / ACCA
certification.
- Leadership training from
a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 10 years’
experience, with 5 in senior management.
- Experience managing donor
funds and reporting.
- Strong analytical,
planning, and crisis management skills.
