Role Overview
We are
looking for a creative and culturally inspired finance professional who
can think beyond spreadsheets. This role is perfect for someone who blends
financial acumen with a deep appreciation for African artistry, design, and
conscious consumerism.
You’ll
play a pivotal role in strengthening the financial backbone of Bobu Lifestyle,
supporting growth strategy, and helping us tell impactful stories through
numbers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash
flow projections aligned with our brand and campaign cycles.
- Support pricing strategies for art pieces,
lifestyle products, and curated experiences.
- Monitor daily financial operations including
reconciliations, expenses, inventory margins, and vendor payments.
- Partner with creative and sales teams to assess
the financial performance of collections and campaigns.
- Generate monthly and quarterly reports for
leadership with strategic recommendations.
- Assist in grant applications, funding proposals,
and donor reporting for cultural programs.
- Ensure compliance with local tax and regulatory
requirements.
- Introduce financial systems or tools that
improve efficiency for a growing creative business.
Who We are looking for.
- A finance/accounting/economics degree graduate
with 1–3years of experience in a
finance, accounting, or business operations role.
- CPA from Intermediate level.
- Passionate about African culture, creative
brands, or artistic storytelling.
- Prior experience working in lifestyle, fashion,
art, or design industries is a plus.
- Can effectively use financial software,
Excel/Sheets, and digital tools with experience in Budgeting, Taxes,
auditing, Financial
- Analytical yet imaginative -you see financial
strategy as part of a bigger creative vision.
- Self-starter with a solution-oriented mindset
and love for collaboration.
