Role Summary:
We are
seeking a dynamic and proactive Human Resource and Administration Officer to
support and strengthen LEDO Kenya’s human resource and administrative systems.
The officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance, enhancing staff
welfare, and contributing to the smooth and efficient functioning of the
organization.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret and implement HR policies,
regulations, and procedures.
- Support the execution of strategic HR
objectives.
- Manage staff statutory deductions, benefits, and
welfare programs.
- Oversee performance management and appraisal
processes.
- Coordinate recruitment, selection, induction,
and placement.
- Manage staff probation, confirmation, promotion,
and exit procedures.
- Facilitate training, learning and capacity
building initiatives.
- Administer disciplinary processes and manage
staff grievances.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR
information systems.
- Foster a positive organizational culture and
workplace relations.
- Organize meetings, training and workshops, and
ensure proper documentation.
- Coordinate office administration, equipment
maintenance and logistics.
- Assist in procurement and maintain office
supplies.
- Ensure the safety and security of staff, assets
and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR best
practices.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Competencies
- Minimum of a Diploma in HR Management (a
bachelor’s degree is an added advantage).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role,
preferably with an NGO or similar setup.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and HR Information
Systems (HRIS).
- Strong communication, interpersonal and
organization skills.
- Solid understanding of Kenyan labor laws and HR
compliance standards.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and
professionalism.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure,
and within tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail, analytical ability,
Self-motivated and results-oriented.
