Key Responsibilities
- Source
and purchase goods, materials, and services in a timely and cost-effective
way to support operations and project needs.
- Evaluate
and select suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and ability to
meet delivery timelines.
- Prepare
and process purchase orders, contracts, and procurement records in line
with company policies.
- Monitor
stock levels and work with inventory teams to forecast and plan
procurement needs accurately.
- Maintain
clear records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance to support
audits and reporting.
- Ensure
compliance with internal procurement policies and legal regulations,
including proper approvals and documentation.
- Build
and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers to
ensure dependable supply chains.
- Track
orders and follow up on deliveries, resolving any supply delays or product
issues quickly.
- Coordinate
with finance and other departments to align purchases with budgets and
project requirements.
- Look
for cost-saving opportunities and suggest ways to improve procurement
processes.
- Assist
in preparing tenders and supplier evaluation documents for large or
strategic purchases.
- Review
and assess supplier performance regularly to ensure quality, reliability,
and service standards.
- Support
audits and compliance checks by keeping procurement records organized and
accessible.
Requirements
- Diploma
or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business
Administration, or a related field.
- 2–4
years of proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
- Knowledge
of procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain operations.
- Proficiency
in Microsoft Office and procurement systems (e.g., ERP, SAP, or similar).
- Must
hold a valid driving license for a motorbike or car
- Strong
negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent
verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability
to work independently and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge
of relevant sourcing and contract management principles.
- Membership
in a professional body (e.g., CIPS or KISM) is an added advantage.
- Integrity,
professionalism, and a strong sense of accountability.
