mission and values. We are searching for Clerks to assist in the Retail Stores
operations.
This role requires individuals with the capability to
manage inventory and internal procurement end to end to ensure revenue growth
and business success.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Conducting regular physical inventory counts and reconciling
discrepancies between physical counts and SAP records. These counts
include Weekly cycle counts, Monthly cycle counts, Ad hoc cycle counts,
Yearly stock counts
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory movements, including
receiving, shipping, and transferring products
- Monitoring inventory levels and notifying the purchasing
department when stock levels fall below predetermined levels.
- Ensuring that inventory is properly stored and organized for
efficient retrieval
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure timely and
accurate delivery of products
- Communicating any inventory-related issues or concerns to
management
- Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of inventory
management systems
- Maintain proper inventory quantities with attention to stock
levels at branch store and shelves.
- Carry out weekly inventory analysis to understand ROS
per category, sub-category, and item.
- Analyse inventory balance at shelf level and advice relevant
teams, proposing adjustments to ensure zero stock outs.
- Ensure timely placement of orders as per store schedule.
- Run and carry out price change reports.
- Share inventory reports as required.
- Periodically man the floor to get a better understanding of
customer needs and emerging trends for inventory optimization.
- Ensure smooth working environment between the branch,
inventory teams and HQ.
- Any other duties based on business needs as assigned by the
manager in charge.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a busy retail environment
- Must have had experience in handling stocks, ordering and
management.
- Must have a higher diploma or bachelor’s degree in
procurement – supply chain management or business-related course.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and warehousing
processes, from needs assessment, through planning, category management,
procurement, logistics and delivery, monitoring and evaluation.
- Strong overall knowledge and understanding of public
procurement principles, financial and legal aspects of supply chain
issues, ethics and risk management of Retail operations.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft
Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize
tasks.
NB: The role requires a resource who can work long
and odd hours including weekends and holidays, One must also be able to stand
for long hours as per the sales floor demands.
