Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and supervise the implementation of all surveillance
activities at various levels including household, environmental and health
facility levels;
- Ensure availability of requisite study supplies and materials
at all times;
- Serve as the point of contact and principal source of
information on study matters and deliverables for the site; and produce
regular progress reports as required;
- Develop and design local training for project staff in
collaboration with the study investigators;
- Work with scientific staff to ensure collection of
high-quality data;
- Work with other investigators to conceptualize and develop
analytical plans for various data;
- Provide study updates and liaise with relevant sub-county and
county health management teams, MOH heads, opinion leaders and community
advisory boards;
- Work with project leads to contribute in the analysis of
scientific results
- Submit periodic reports of project status to the project team
while identifying gaps and areas requiring further strengthening.
Vacancy Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: –
Biomedical Sciences, MedicalSciences, Public Health, any relevant Social
Science or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
- Good analytical skills and experience of using at least one
statistical package such as R or STATA
- Have an in-depth understanding of Good Clinical Practice
principles.
- Must be willing to reside in the study area
- Ability to work independently and proactively;
- Ability to work with flexibility on several tasks
simultaneously;
- Communication skills;
- Demonstrated maturity and capacity to navigate a complex
environment and respond to shifting and fluid priorities
