Duties & Responsibilities:
- Admissions – Will be the first point of contact with patients
and will initiate management for patients whilst undertaking clerking and
ensuring accurate and efficient diagnosis.
- Monitoring and care for patients – Will work hand in hand with
other hospital staff to ensure daily review of patients, check up on
progress and flag aspects of patient progress that need further evaluation
in providing holistic patient care.
- Assessing and planning treatment requirements: Undertake daily
review of patients and their medication or laboratory indicators as well
as assessing the impact of the same on clinical progress.
- Execution of treatment plans: Work with consultants in daily
ward rounds to execute plans put in place, including running laboratory
samples, organizing for imaging, analysing of results, appraising
consultants in charge and executing additional plans of management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from an
accredited medical institution.
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience in a hospital setting.
- A valid EPALS/PALS certification is required.
- Must be computer literate.
