candidate will support inventory planning and parts purchasing, with a focus on
replenishing inventory and consumable supplies.
Detailed Description
Principal Accountabilities (Responsibilities)
Planning
- Analyse and provision for check material
as per aircraft maintenance schedule forecast.
- Evaluation of Recommended Spares
Provisioning List (RSPL) and related documents to meet aircraft entry into
service timelines
- Closely coordinate with all stake holder
departments during aircraft entry into service i.e. engineering,
maintenance planning, entry into service project team, finance etc in
evaluating the material requirements and associated costs to meet KQ’s
operational goals.
- Evaluate reliability figures such as
achieved MTBUR, scrap rate etc. in consultation with engineering/ planning
to establish/adjust float level for addition/depletion of rotable spares
required to achieve target service levels.
Stock Levels
- Define stock levels and advice
procurement on minimum order quantities, procurement options on slow and
fast movers based on forecasted maintenance.
- Evaluate material consumption, lead time,
fleet size and budgeted inventory plan, in coordination with maintenance
planning to establish/adjust stock levels of consumable/expendable spares
required to achieve service levels to support dispatch reliability.
- Effectively manage float levels of the
rotables and safety stock replenishment with pool providers and vendors to
maintain the optimum inventory.
Aircraft Checks
- Coordinate with planning engineer in
timely availing of materials for checks and components
- Evaluate and implement optimal material
provisioning strategy for modification programs including SBs/EOs and
special projects – campaigns.
Pre and Post Check Analysis
- Analyze post check consumption of
materials, equipment and tooling with the pre check forecast and carry out
corrective action
- Analyze inventory trends/activities of
all materials to identify non-moving/slow moving spares to establish
active, inactive or obsolete inventory.
Procurements
- Communicate frequently with procurement
with respect to the requirements and adjustments.
Trainings
- Ensure a health and safety culture is
embraced and practiced.
- Personal performance and training
requirements are identified and requested to maximize performance in
allocated tasks.
Job Requirements
Qualification
(Minimum)
- University degree in Engineering,
Business related or supply chain.
- Minimum of 5 years related industry
experience in the field of Supply Chain or Planning related to aircraft
management in an airline or an aviation company with an international
business exposure and experience.
- IT proficiency
- Good all-round planning skills.
- Knowledge of aircraft material
management.
- Knowledge of airworthiness authorities’
requirements related to materials management.
- Ability to read, understand &
interpret approved maintenance documentation e.g.; IPC, RSPL, AMM, SBs
etc.
