Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the Chief, Policy, Legislation and
Governance Section (PLGS), and the oversee of UN-Habitat Office in Spain
that will supervise that the outputs will be delivered accordingly the
consultant is responsible for providing technical support to the project
“Implementing the New Urban Agenda in Spain through National and
Sub-National Urban Agendas”. Provide technical support to project,
by: – Overall coordination of different components of the project. –
Organization of EGMs, workshops and other related events.
- Coordinate technical meetings for the evaluation of progress
of different components of the project. Elaboration of technical proposals
related to new components of the project “Implementing the New Urban
Agenda in Spain through National and Sub-National Urban Agendas”.
- Preparation of inputs for the development of products and
support the preparation of annual reports, information to donors and other
documents required providing quality and accurate information.
- Monitoring of implementation of activities of the project
“Implementing the New Urban Agenda in Spain through National and
Sub-National Urban Agendas”. Backstopping to meetings and conferences
proposing agenda topics and preparation of presentations and relevant
documents.
- Support the knowledge generation and management activities
promoted in the framework of the project “Implementing the New Urban
Agenda in Spain through National and Sub-National Urban Agendas.
Qualifications/special skills
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in
architecture, urbanism, social sciences, business administration or law is
required.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project or
program formulation and management, large events/seminar management, or
related areas is required.
- Understanding of development paradigms of urban topics is
required.
- Knowledge of the New Urban Agenda, SDG 11 and other SDGs
related to cities and 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is desired.
