Main Duties:
The Facility Manager will play a critical role in ensuring
that the company’s physical infrastructure, vehicles, equipment, and support
systems operate efficiently and effectively. The position involves overseeing
facility operations, maintenance, space and resource management, technology
integration, compliance with statutory licenses and regulations, sustainability
initiatives, and vendor management. The Facility Manager will also be
responsible for strategic planning, budget management, and emergency
preparedness to support the company’s operational and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and
industry standards.
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential
disruptions to operations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address
potential risks.
- Select and manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and
service providers.
- Ensure services are delivered according to contract terms and
performance standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations and address any issues that
arise.
- Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for
vehicles.
- Ensure timely repairs and servicing of the fleet to minimize
downtime.
- Manage relationships with external service providers for
specialized maintenance tasks.
- Ensure the efficient operation of fleet depots, warehouses,
distribution centers, maintenance shops, offices, and other facilities.
- Manage utilities, and security systems, and ensure compliance
with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Oversee the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of all
facilities.
- Coordinate the acquisition, registration, and disposal of
vehicles and equipment.
- Monitor vehicle and equipment performance, fuel consumption,
and maintenance costs.
- Implement vehicle tracking, telematics, and other technology
systems to optimize operations.
- Coordinate logistics activities to ensure efficient routing
and scheduling of vehicles and the movement of goods and materials.
- Monitor inventory levels of spare parts, and supplies, and
manage storage facilities to support operations.
- Plan and manage the allocation and utilization of space within
facilities.
- Ensure workspaces are adequately equipped and maintained to
support operational needs.
- Implement space-saving and efficiency measures where
appropriate.
- Prepare and manage budgets for facility, fleet, and logistics
operations.
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to
secure favorable terms.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for the fleet,
logistics, and facilities.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure
effective response and recovery efforts.
- Implement and manage technology solutions to enhance facility,
fleet, and logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related
field.
- 5 Years’ experience in a fast-paced environment, and 3 Years
in Leadership management.
- Strong understanding of maintenance management, logistics
coordination, and facility operations.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving
skills.
- Proficiency in using facility and fleet management software
and other relevant technology.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
