Githunguri Dairy Farmers Co-operative Society Ltd plays a key role
in marketing of its member’s milk which is processed and packed in form of
pouch packed fresh milk, Tetra Classic fresh milk, lala, butter, ghee and cream
under the flagship of “Fresha Dairy Products”.
We are seeking to hire a Procurement Manager who will play a crucial role in
managing and overseeing all aspects of procurement activities. This includes
strategizing to find cost-effective deals, maintaining supplier relationships,
and ensuring the timely supply of all products and services necessary for the
company’s business operations
Responsibilities:
Oversee
the efficient running of the procurement department.
Coordinating
various procurement committees including but not limited to Tenders Processing
Committee, and Tender Opening Committee and thereafter preparing a report on
the outcomes of such meetings.
Conducting
marketing Surveys and advising on marketing indices for purposes of expenditure
planning and adherence.
Streamlining
of corporations’ Operation efficiency and competitiveness through timely and
competitive acquisition of quality goods and services.
Creation
of strategic procurement and disposal plans that are aligned to the approved
budget.
Create
advertisement of tenders, and actively participate in the evaluation processes
in accordance with public procurement regulations and approved specifications
and requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s
degree in Business Administration, Procurement or its equivalent from a
recognized university.
Master’s
degree in procurement and a postgraduate diploma in purchasing and supplies.
Experience
of 10 years 6 of which should be at the senior management level preferably in a
Fast Moving Consumer Goods Environment
Must have
CIPS level 6.
Must be
an active member of KISM with good standing.
Must be
proficient in the use of MS Office suites of packages
