The Procurement Clerk’s primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient provision of
procurement services to Zetech University staff. They are tasked with fostering
a collaborative, client-centric, and results-driven approach within the
Procurement Department. Position holders will deliver professional,
high-quality customer service, aligning with the University’s goals of value
addition and strategic procurement objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to Procurement Officer, the position
holder will be responsible for the following, amongst others:
Preparation of Request for
Quotation, Invitations to Bid, Requests for Proposal, and co-ordination of
their timely dispatch.
Collecting and analyzing
quotes, bids, and proposals for evaluation purposes.
Assist with the
coordination with the selected bidder to ensure completion of administrative
processes including Bid Security, contract award notice, and that contract
documents are distributed accordingly
Receive the approved
requisitions and process the appropriate documents to effect local or overseas
purchases
Check and classify the
precedence of the requisition and process based on priority.
Establish and maintain
effective working relationships with suppliers
Maintain all the supplier
files.
Make errands on
procurement assignments
Monitor and analyze
supplier performance.
Plan, prioritize and
review all assignments given
Support other departments
on procurement queries.
Qualification & Experience
A minimum of a diploma in
a business-related field (preferably Procurement/Supply Chain Management) from
an accredited and recognized university
1-2 years prior experience
in a similar job in a busy environment
Computer literacy and
familiarity with standard office computer applications.
Good record-keeping skills
Well-developed verbal,
written, and communication skills
