The Role
Reporting to the Board, the role will direct and control the bank’s operations and give strategic guidance and direction to the Senior Management Team and the Board, to ensure that the bank achieves its mission and objectives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have worked and lived in Africa before, preferably in Uganda in similar top roles within a regional or matrix reporting working environment.
Qualified Ugandans are encouraged to apply.
It is essential that the candidate has a strong business background and a proven record of success at senior level in general and commercial management, having worked in the banking and financial industry previously, in a large reputable bank.
The candidate will also need to demonstrate strong leadership skills in strategic planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and control and have over 10 years’ work-related experience of managing and co-ordinating various lending and retail banking operations, people and resources, a minimum of 8 years of which should have been at board or top management level.
