Accountant – Tours & Travel Division Job

Sheffield, through one of its group companies in the Tours & Travel industry, is seeking to recruit a qualified and reliable Accountant to support the financial operations of the travel business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the travel and tours sector and be capable of handling financial postings, reconciliations, and general ledger management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers
  • Conduct bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations
  • Monitor cash flow, receivables, and payables
  • Prepare monthly financial and management reports
  • Ensure statutory compliance (VAT, PAYE, NHIF, NSSF)
  • Assist with internal controls, audits, and financial documentation
  • Collaborate with operations for cost tracking and revenue reporting

Qualifications:


  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA Part II or higher
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an Accountant within a Tours & Travel company
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • High level of integrity and ability to work independently
