Job Title: Quality Controller
Responsible for inspecting raw materials,
ingredients, packaging, and finished products, conducting quality checks and
laboratory tests, monitoring food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining
quality records, investigating product defects, supporting corrective actions,
and ensuring compliance with food safety requirements. Requires a Diploma in
Food Science and Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field, with 1–2
years’ experience in food manufacturing and knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and quality
management systems.
About the role
Kenchic PLC is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented
Quality Controller to join our Quality Assurance Department. This role is
responsible for quality conformance checks and inspection of ingredients, raw
materials, packaging materials, in-process and finished products. The role
ensures that all products meet established food safety and quality requirements
while driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Key
Responsibilities
Implement
and monitor quality and food safety requirements across receiving, production,
storage, and dispatch.
Conduct
real-time quality checks, sampling, laboratory testing, and sensory
evaluations.
Ensure
accurate documentation, traceability, and timely reporting of product quality
and process deviations.
Investigate
product nonconformities, customer complaints, and support root cause analysis
with timely corrective actions.
Participate
in new product development, including testing, reporting, and specification
development.
Conduct
internal audits, monitor GMP and hygiene compliance, and ensure sanitation
schedules are met.
Manage QA
programs, records, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory
requirements.
Provide
quality and food safety training to staff to support a sustainable quality
culture.
Qualifications
Diploma
in Food Science/Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline
(bachelor’s degree is an advantage).
1-2 years
of relevant experience in FMCG or food manufacturing.
Sound
knowledge of FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, and QMS.
Strong
analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent
communication skills, attention to detail, and a team player.
