Management Accountant – Grants manages donor funding, prepares budgets, and ensures grant compliance, requires a Finance/Accounting Degree, CPA(K), and 3+ years experience.
Job Objective
The job
holder will be responsible for grants accounting, donor compliance and
monitoring the financial and operational performance of designated programmes
and activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Grants
Management
Maintain
detailed grant financial records and ledgers.
Monitor
expenditure against donor budgets.
Prepare
donor financial reports and supporting schedules.
Ensure
compliance with donor requirements and restrictions.
Support
grant audits and donor reviews.
Track
restricted and unrestricted funds.
Foundation
Financial Management
Record
and monitor all Foundation income and expenditure.
Track
donations, sponsorships, and fundraising income.
Prepare
financial accountability reports for Foundation activities.
Support
donor stewardship reporting.
Project
Accounting
Track
project expenditures and funding utilisation.
Reconcile
project accounts and funding balances.
Monitor
budget absorption and utilisation rates.
Support
project audits and donor inspections.
Compliance
& Reporting
Ensure
compliance with donor agreements and funding conditions.
Maintain
documentation for audit and accountability.
Coordinate
responses to audit queries.
Qualifications
And Experience
Bachelor’s
degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited/recognised
University.
CPA(K) or
ACCA qualification.
Minimum
of 4–6 years’ experience in grants, project accounting, or fund management.
Experience
with donor-funded projects will be an added advantage.
