Kitchen Staff preparing and serving meals and maintaining kitchen cleanliness, requiring a Certificate in Food and Beverage or a related field with experience in a kitchen environment, in an education environment, on-site role.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare
and cook nutritious meals for students and staff following the school’s
menu and portion guidelines.
- Maintain
high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety in the kitchen and
dining areas at all times.
- Manage
food stock and storage, minimise wastage, and report supply needs to the
kitchen supervisor.
- Wash
and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils and work surfaces after every
meal service.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate
in Food Production, Catering or a related field is an added advantage.
- 1-2
years’ experience in a busy kitchen, preferably within a school or
institutional setting.
- Valid
food handler’s/medical certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
- Reliable,
hygienic, and able to work well within a team.
