Accountant preparing financial reports and management accounts, completing reconciliations and maintaining loan portfolio accounting, requiring a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Commerce, mandatory CPA(K) and 3-5 years relevant accounting experience, in a microfinance environment, on-site role.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare
accurate financial reports (monthly, quarterly & annual).
Ensure
timely management accounts (5-10 working days after month-end).
Complete
bank, mobile money, loan portfolio and general ledger conciliations.
Maintain
accurate loan portfolio accounting (interest, fees, provisions &
write-offs).
Ensure
regulatory & tax compliance.
Support
budgeting and variance analysis.
Maintain
strong internal controls.
Assist
with audits and ensure documentation is ready.
Monitor
cash flows and provide forecasts. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics or related field. CPA(K) is
mandatory.
3-5
years’ relevant accounting experience.
Microfinance
experience is an added advantage.
