Accountant II / Finance Officer II Job in Kenya - KMTC

Accountant II / Finance Officer II preparing financial statements, processing payments, managing budgets, and maintaining general ledgers, requiring a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Finance, CPA Section 6 (CPA-K), and registration with ICPAK.

An officer at this level will be responsible for implementing financial regulations, policies, strategies, and plans; implementing budgetary and cost controls; maintaining books of account and financial records; implementing internal financial controls; preparing financial reports and statements and submitting them to relevant institutions; maintaining an accurate and complete financial record of the college; preparing payment vouchers; participating in the collation of financial estimates and the determination of aggregate expenditure; maintaining records relating to government grants and other donor funds; preparing management and statutory reports, including final accounts; maintaining records of statutory deductions and remittances; managing the petty cash; and participating in revenue collection processes.

Qualifications

For appointment to this level, a candidate must have: – 

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: – Commerce (Accounting/Finance option), Finance, Economics, Business Administration (Accounting/Finance option), Business Management (Accounting/Finance option) or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;  
  • Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution; and 
  •  Proficiency in computer application.
