Inventory Accountant Job in Kenya - Danco Capital

Inventory Accountant role at Danco Capital. Responsible for managing inventory accounts, reconciling stock records, and monitoring inventory costs. Requires a relevant accounting qualification and experience in inventory or financial management. The role is based in Nairobi with duties performed on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary controller of inventory transactions within ERP; validate costing structures (production, logistics, landed costs, etc.).
  • Lead stock calendar cycle counts, weekly confirmations, spot checks, quarterly and annual stock-takes; investigate discrepancies.

  • Prepare weekly/monthly inventory ledger change explanations for Chief Accountant; maintain audit trails and SOP compliance checks.
  • Supervise Inventory Supervisor and Junior Clerk; ensure daily ERP posting by close of business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Supply Chain (or equivalent).
  • 2–3 years’ experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing accounting.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA(K), ACCA) is required.
  • Hands-on ERP experience covering inventory, costing, and production modules.
