Job Purpose
- The Administrative Assistant, Department provides efficient
administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
of the Department and effective support to staff and students.
Key Responsibilities / Duties / Tasks
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Department.
- Manage correspondence, records, filing systems, and data entry.
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and coordinate
departmental activities.
- Support coordination of online teaching, examinations, and
student-related activities.
- Assist in preparation of reports, budgets, and procurement
documents.
- Respond to inquiries from staff and students and provide frontline
support.
- Maintain inventory of office equipment and learning resources.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper record management.

Qualifications Academic
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Office
Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Professional Experience: At least 2–3 years’ experience in an
administrative role, preferably in a higher education environment.
- Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in ICT and office applications.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
