World Wide Fund for Nature is hiring a Senior Coordinator, Global Policy Impact (Maternity Cover) to coordinate global policy initiatives. The role is based in Nairobi and experience in designing and managing internal communication is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational support to the Director of Global
Policy Impact, including preparation of briefings, coordination of
priorities, and follow-up on key actions and decisions.
- Provide proactive calendar management,
travel coordination and submission of expense
reports for Director and cluster Heads, ensuring schedules run smoothly
and logistics are efficiently organized.
- Facilitate internal coordination across
the Global Policy Impact team,
ensuring alignment of workplans, timelines, and deliverables across
multiple workstreams.
- Supports team in the coordination of global policy fora
- Organize and support internal meetings, workshops, and retreats,
including agenda development, logistics, documentation, and follow-up
actions.
- Manage and maintain the team’s SharePoint site, ensuring shared
resources and documentation are well-organized, accessible, and
support effective collaboration.
- Build and update an internal
SharePoint communications site to keep
internal colleagues informed and aligned
with key updates, priorities, and
organizational developments.
- Support the development and monitoring of strategic plans, annual
workplans, and internal reporting processes, ensuring alignment with
departmental goals.
- Assist with budget tracking,
procurement processes, contract management,
and compliance with internal procedures.
Qualifications.
- University degree preferably in business administration
- At least 5-7 years’ relevant experience as a senior or executive
assistant in an international environment.
Required Skills and
Competencies.
- A flexible working style, absolute discretion and unfailing
diplomacy.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; other languages
would be an advantage.
- Experience in designing and managing internal communication tools
and asset
- Computer literate and numerate in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
with additional ability to use online collaborative tools for
communication, interactive presentations and digital
whiteboards
- Experience of working in a multi-tasking and international
environment.
- Ability to run multiple projects at the same time
- Independent self-starter.
- Precision and timeliness in completion of tasks and projects
