Our client is a leading Kenyan manufacturer of cleaning tools, household brushes, mops, bottles, jars, and related homecare products.


They are seeking a results-driven B2B Sales Executive to drive revenue growth by acquiring new business customers and expanding relationships with existing accounts. The ideal candidate will identify opportunities within retail chains, institutions, hospitality businesses, cleaning companies, schools, hospitals, and corporate organizations.

The role requires strong prospecting, relationship management, negotiation, and sales closing skills, with a focus on achieving monthly and annual sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new B2B sales opportunities across the country.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of hardware stores, and institutional buyers.
  • Generate leads through field visits, networking, referrals, industry events, and digital channels.
  • Conduct customer presentations and product demonstrations.

Account Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts.
  • Manage customer onboarding and ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Resolve customer concerns and coordinate with internal teams to ensure excellent service.

Sales Execution

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements within approved guidelines. Subject to initial approvals
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender submissions.
  • Track sales activities and update CRM records regularly.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
  • Gather customer feedback and provide insights to management.
  • Identify opportunities for new products and market expansion.

Reporting

  • Submit weekly sales reports and pipeline updates.
  • Forecast sales volumes and revenue accurately.
  • Track key performance indicators and account performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of B2B sales experience.
  • Experience selling FMCG, household products, cleaning products, plastic products, hardware products, or related categories is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Relationship-building and customer management skills.
  • Prospecting and lead generation expertise.
  • Commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Self-motivated and target-oriented.
