Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow the digital print revenue line for the organization,
with a primary focus on HP Indigo B2 output.
- Develop and execute a prospecting plan targeting corporates,
agencies, SMEs, NGOs, publishers, and packaging buyers.
- Educate prospects on the capabilities and commercial advantages of
B2 digital print — many clients will be encountering this technology for
the first time.
- Prepare and present tailored proposals and print samples, converting
first-time buyers into repeat accounts.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to briefing, quoting,
follow-up, and account management.
- Collaborate with the production and pre-press teams to ensure client
briefs are technically accurate and deliverable.
- Maintain an active and up-to-date pipeline in the CRM, reporting
weekly to the Head of Sales.
- Attend client sites, industry events, and marketing forums to build
brand awareness for the company’s digital offering.
- Gather and share market intelligence on client needs, competitor
activity, and emerging applications for digital print.
Target Client Segment
- FMCG & Retail brands — short-run packaging, promotional
materials, product launches.
- Banks, SACCOs & Insurance firms — personalised statements,
certificates, direct mail.
- NGOs & Development organisations — reports, branded collateral,
event materials.
- Creative & Marketing agencies — client campaigns requiring
digital-quality short runs.
- Publishers & Corporates — books, reports, branded stationery at
commercial quality.
- SMEs & Startups — first-time print buyers who need low minimums
and fast delivery.
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of proven B2B field sales experience with a track record
of hitting targets.
- Hungry, consultative sales approach — able to listen to a brief and
build a compelling solution around it.
- Strong presentation and communication skills; comfortable in the
boardroom and on the shop floor.
- Existing network in Nairobi’s corporate, agency, or SME community is
a significant advantage.
- Interest in or exposure to print, design, marketing, or technology
is valued.
- Self-motivated, organised, and resilient — this is a new sales
territory requiring a builder mentality.
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
