Inventory Specialist Job in Kenya - Artcaffe

About the Role

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for ensuring tracking, and reporting of inventory across the organization. This role supports financial integrity by maintaining accurate stock records, analyzing variances, reconciling inventory movements, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the ERP system across the company.
  • Perform daily and monthly inventory reconciliations.
  • Monitor and report inventory variances.
  • Coordinate and participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual physical stock counts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical counts.

  • Conduct periodic spot checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with inventory procedures.
  • Strengthen internal controls around stock management and recommend process improvements.
  • Work closely with operations, procurement, and Factory teams to validate stock movements.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards related to inventory management.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all inventory transactions and reconciliations.
  • Support monthly stock validations, adjustments and reporting.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualifications are an added advantage.
  • 2-4 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1-2 years in inventory accounting or stock control.
  • Experience with ERP systems.

  • Strong understanding of inventory accounting principles and costing methods.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
