Role Overview:
- We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled Program
Facilitators to deliver one or more of OLP’s
extracurricular programs in partner schools. This is not simply a “working
with kids” role, it is a structured facilitation position that requires
leadership, preparation, and confidence in your area of expertise.
- As an OLP Facilitator, you will lead engaging,
well-managed sessions for groups of children aged 5–18, using OLP’s
curriculum and materials. Depending on your specialization, you may
facilitate Emotional Intelligence & Life Skills, Young Food Explorers
(cooking-based learning), Art & Storytelling, Foundations of Movement
(dance and body awareness), or the Board Games Club.
- Your role is to create a safe, inclusive, and
high-energy learning environment where children actively participate,
collaborate, and build meaningful skills. You will represent OLP’s values
through professionalism, clear communication, and a strong child-centered
approach.
Programs and Facilitator Responsibilities:
EQ &
Life Skills (Social-Emotional Learning)
- Facilitate experiential sessions helping
children recognize, name, and regulate emotions, communicate effectively,
build positive relationships, resolve conflict, and make responsible
decisions
- Lead play-based activities, discussions,
role-plays, and creative exercises
- Track engagement and provide brief session
feedback
Young
Food Explorers (Cooking & Nutrition)
- Design and lead hands-on cooking sessions,
teaching safe, age-appropriate recipes and basic nutrition
- Guide children in food preparation, exploring
ingredients, flavours, and healthy habits
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging kitchen
environment
Art
& Storytelling
- Facilitate creative sessions combining visual
art and storytelling
- Guide children in character creation, sequencing
ideas, and expressing narratives through drawing, painting, and simple
story structures
- Help children produce tangible creative outcomes
while developing artistic and narrative skills
Foundations
of Movement (Dance & Body Awareness)
- Lead developmental movement sessions focusing on
rhythm, coordination, balance, body awareness, and musicality
- Introduce choreography gradually, focusing on
confidence and skill development
- Adapt sessions to different age groups and
abilities
Board
Games Club
- Facilitate structured board game activities that
develop teamwork, problem-solving, strategic thinking, emotional
regulation, and fair play
- Teach game rules, support gameplay, and guide
children in applying life skills through play
- Observe group dynamics and ensure an inclusive,
enjoyable experience
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience working with children (teaching,
tutoring, childcare, youth programs, or related)
- Relevant education or practical experience in
education, psychology, child development, social work, arts, dance,
cooking, or facilitation, depending on the program
- Ability to facilitate sessions independently and
manage groups of varying sizes confidently in a school environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills,
with the ability to adapt activities to different ages and developmental
levels
- Patient, creative, dependable, and child-centred
approach
- For EQ & Life Skills: prior knowledge,
training, or hands-on experience in Social-Emotional Learning, Emotional
Intelligence, counselling skills, or life-skills education, with the
ability to guide discussion and reflection safely and appropriately
- For Cooking: confidence in the kitchen and
ability to teach food preparation safely
- For Dance: training or experience in dance and
movement fundamentals
- For Art & Storytelling: experience in visual
arts, illustration, and/or storytelling is an advantage
- For Board Games: comfortable learning,
explaining, and managing structured gameplay
