The National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation (NACOSTI) is a statutory body in the State Department for Science, Research and Innovation, Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs. Requirements
To qualify for appointment as Member of the NACOSTI Board, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Master’s degree from a University recognised in Kenya;
- Have knowledge and experience in science, technology and innovation;
- Be capable of contribution to science, technology and innovation;
- Be a person of high moral character and integrity in accordance with
Chapter Six of the Constitution;
- Not serving in the Public service; and
- Not serving as a member of more than one (1) board of a public
entity.

three (3) years and shall be eligible for re-appointment for a further one (1)
term.
Allowances
payable to the Chairperson and Members of the NACOSTI Board shall be as
determined by the Government from time to time.
Other Requirements
Applicants
should attach copies of current clearances from:
- Kenya Revenue Authority;
- Higher Education Loans Board;
- Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
- Directorate of Criminal Investigation; and
- A Government-recognized Credit Reference Bureau
In
case of degrees obtained from Foreign Universities, applicants should obtain
certification from the Commission for University Education (CUE) that the
University is recognized in Kenya
