About the Role
Betty
Adera Foundation (BAF) is seeking an experienced and results-driven Cluster
Coordinator to provide technical and operational
leadership for Farmer Field School (FFS) implementation under an upcoming
climate-resilient agriculture initiative in the Lake Region Economic Bloc.
The
Cluster Coordinator will oversee county-level implementation, supervise field
teams, ensure high-quality delivery of climate-smart and low-carbon
agricultural practices, and coordinate closely with county governments and
local stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall technical leadership for Farmer
Field School implementation
- Supervise County Field Coordinators and FFS
Facilitators
- Ensure delivery of climate-smart agriculture,
conservation agriculture, and good agricultural practices
- Oversee establishment and management of
demonstration and comparative learning plots
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting and
documentation
- Coordinate with County Departments of
Agriculture and relevant stakeholders
- Support monitoring, performance verification,
and adaptive management
- Ensure inclusion of women, youth, and persons
living with disabilities
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy,
Agricultural Extension, Animal Production, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in agricultural
program implementation
- Demonstrated experience with Farmer Field School
(FFS) approaches
- Experience in Climate-Smart Agriculture and/or
Conservation Agriculture
- Strong supervisory and team leadership skills
- Experience working with county governments and
farmer organizations
- Familiarity with digital data collection tools
(e.g., Kobo Collect) is an added advantage
- Strong communication and report writing skills
