Accountant Job in Kenya

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
  • Cpa (k) certified public accountant of kenya (completed or finalist). Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Advanced skills in microsoft excel and financial reporting tools.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience, preferably within the healthcare sector, medical facilities, hospitals, clinics, or related service industries.
  • Experience with healthcare billing, insurance claims, or nhif (sha) processes is a strong advantage.

Main responsibilities


  • Financial planning, budgeting & forecasting.
  • Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Financial accounting & reporting.
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts in line with ifrs and kenyan accounting standards.
  • Revenue cycle & healthcare billing.
  • Oversee patient billing, insurance claims, sha reimbursements, and collections.
  • Accounts payable & receivable. Manage supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Cash flow & treasury management.
  • Manage daily cash flows, bank accounts, and reconciliations.
  • Taxation & statutory compliance.
  • Prepare and file statutory returns.
  • Ensure compliance with kra, sha, and other regulatory bodies.
