Our
client is a leading provider of advanced drainage and water management
solutions, specializing in the design and delivery of innovative systems for
wastewater and water treatment applications. The organisation is committed to

We are
seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join the Finance team. The successful candidate
will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance
with Kenyan tax regulations, and supporting operational efficiency through
accurate financial reporting and ERP system management. This role involves
close collaboration with logistics and operations teams to ensure seamless
financial and inventory processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting
& Compliance
- Prepare and post customer invoices accurately in
the ERP system (Microsoft Business Central).
- Post and reconcile customer payments, including
cheque postings and reconciliation through the KRA portal.
- Ensure compliance with Kenyan tax regulations
and timely submission of all statutory returns.
Financial
Operations
- Manage accounts receivable and actively follow
up on outstanding payments.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank
accounts, supplier statements, and customer accounts.
- Maintain organized financial records and archive
invoices to support audits and internal reviews.
ERP
& Systems Management
- Oversee and maintain the ERP system (Microsoft
Business Central), ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Generate financial and operational reports to
support management decision-making.
- Support system upgrades, automation initiatives,
and process improvement projects.
Cross-Functional
Collaboration
- Liaise closely with the logistics team to
reconcile inventory records and ensure accurate stock valuation.
- Support procurement and operations teams with
financial documentation and insights as required.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a
related field.
- CPA or ACCA certification (or in progress) is
preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting
role, preferably in a similar environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central or
comparable ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax laws and
experience with the KRA portal.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and
communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple
priorities, and meet deadlines.
