Duties and Responsibilities
Duties
and responsibilities at this level will include:
- Coordinating, managing, and supervising the
general administrative functions in the Ward unit;
- Developing policies and plans;
- Ensuring effective service delivery;
- Coordinating developmental activities to empower
the community;
- Providing and maintaining infrastructure and
facilities of public service;
- Managing the County Public Service;
- Facilitating and coordinating citizen
participation in the development of policies, plans, and delivery of
services;
- Exercising any functions and powers delegated by
the County Public Service Board;
- Reporting to the Sub-County Administrator; and
- Any other duties assigned by the immediate
supervisor.
Requirements for Appointment
For
appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Served in the grade of Chief Administration
Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following
disciplines:
- Public Administration
- Business Administration
- Political Science / Government
Or
- equivalent qualification from a recognized
institution;
- Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting
not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
- Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in
work performance and results;
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the
Constitution; an
- Certificate in computer application skills.
