We are seeking a dynamic
Sales Executive with proven experience in selling
services to corporates across the energy sector. The ideal candidates
will have deep sector-specific expertise and a strong track record in business
development, client acquisition, and revenue growth.
Role & Responsibilities
Business Development &
Client Acquisition
- Identify and target
potential clients (corporates, government agencies, NGOs) within the
energy sector using market research, industry reports, and networking.
- Develop and execute
strategies to generate high-quality leads through cold outreach,
referrals, partnerships, and industry events.
- Conduct in-depth
consultations with prospects to understand their business challenges and
position the company’s services as solutions.
Relationship Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Key Account Management:
Build and nurture long-term relationships with decision-makers (C-level
executives, procurement officers, project managers) in the public and
private sectors.
- Public Sector Engagement:
Navigate government procurement processes, tender submissions, and
compliance requirements for public sector contracts.
- NGO & Development
Sector Collaboration: Work with NGOs, international organizations, and
donor-funded projects to align services with their program objectives.
- Private Sector
Engagement: Master corporate procurement ecosystems including RFP
processes, vendor qualification requirements, and multi-tier approval
chains (Technical Teams → Procurement → Legal → C-Suite).
Sales Strategy & Proposal
Development
- Tailored Solutions:
Customize service offerings to meet sector-specific demands.
- Proposal & Pitch
Development: Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and bids that
highlight value propositions, ROI, and competitive advantages.
Market Intelligence &
Competitive Analysis
- Industry Trends: Stay
updated on regulatory changes, funding opportunities, and emerging trends
within the assigned sector.
- Competitor Benchmarking:
Analyze competitor offerings and adjust sales strategies to maintain a
competitive edge.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Cross-Functional
Coordination: Work with marketing, product, and delivery teams to ensure
seamless client onboarding and service execution.
- Sales Performance
Tracking: Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, provide regular sales
forecasts, and report on KPIs (conversion rates, revenue growth, pipeline
health).
Required Skills &
Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or related field) or Business
/ Marketing with strong interest or background in energy sector.
- Key Certifications: PMP
(Energy Projects), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED
Additional qualifications:
- Minimum 2–4 years’ sales
or business development experience, ideally in training, education, or in
the energy / power industry.
- Excellent communication
(written and verbal) and presentation skills.
- Self-driven,
results-oriented, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to understand
technical content (e.g., Renewable energy, Energy efficiency, Grid,
Policy) and translate it to value for clients.
- Strong networking
capabilities and capacity to develop new relationships.
- Comfort using CRM systems
and tracking metrics.
- Sector Expertise: Deep
understanding of the sector’s dynamics, pain points, and decision-making
processes.
- Strategic Selling:
Consultative sales approach with a focus on long-term client value.
- Private, Government &
NGO Procurement Procedures Knowledge: Familiarity with public tenders,
grant funding, and donor agency procurement rules (for the energy sector).
