Assistant Finance Officer Job in Kenya - Springboard

The role is responsible for daily accounting activities, ensuring customer payments are received and processed on time, and providing financial information to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare petty cash budget and requisitions for approval.
  • Ensure all LPOs and other committed costs are provided for in good time.
  • Undertake data entry on financial transactions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate information to clients.
  • Ensure communication of Company financial policies to prevent delays in payments.
  • Prepare payments for approval.
  • Undertake debt management in consultation with the Customer Care team.
  • Process and coordinate remittance of statutory deductions from payroll to respective organizations.
  • Process electronic funds transfers for authorization and payments.
  • In consultation with the Finance Manager, perform internal audits and support external auditors with documentation required.

  • Maintain documentation for all financial transactions.
  • Continuous professional development to keep up with current industry and product trends.
  • Preparation of accurate petty cash movements report.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Commerce-Finance or Accounting
  • At least CPA Part 2
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a Microfinance Institutions
  • Training/Experience in procurement will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in ICT with strong MS Office and internet ability.
