The role is responsible for daily accounting activities, ensuring customer payments are received and processed on time, and providing financial information to both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare petty cash budget and requisitions for
approval.
- Ensure all LPOs and other committed costs are
provided for in good time.
- Undertake data entry on financial transactions.
- Ensure timely and accurate information to
clients.
- Ensure communication of Company financial
policies to prevent delays in payments.
- Prepare payments for approval.
- Undertake debt management in consultation with
the Customer Care team.
- Process and coordinate remittance of statutory
deductions from payroll to respective organizations.
- Process electronic funds transfers for
authorization and payments.
- In consultation with the Finance Manager,
perform internal audits and support external auditors with documentation
required.
- Maintain documentation for all financial
transactions.
- Continuous professional development to keep up
with current industry and product trends.
- Preparation of accurate petty cash movements
report.
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce-Finance or Accounting
- At least CPA Part 2
- At least 1 year of experience working in a
Microfinance Institutions
- Training/Experience in procurement will be an
added advantage.
- Proficiency in ICT with strong MS Office and
internet ability.
